The more often, the better.<\/p>\n<p>The prophylaxis has other positive side effects, such as avoiding bad breath and bleeding gums, prolonging the life of white teeth, preventing gingivitis, promoting the prolongation of the life of dental fillings and restorations. The fight against bad breath, caused by a high number of bacteria and plaque in the oral cavity in interdental spaces or gum pockets, is also the goal of professional tooth cleaning.<\/p>\n<p>The process of oral hygiene includes the most precise cleaning of tooth surfaces, interdental spaces and gum pockets, followed by polishing to prevent the formation of new plaque. Before this, the dentist examines the oral cavity to determine the dental situation and then uses a powder-water jet to remove plaque and discolouration. Then dental floss and the ultrasound device are used for further cleaning. The treatment is not painful and takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the condition of the teeth. After the dental hygiene treatment, the patient should wait 1 hour to eat and drink.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that the effect of professional cleaning lasts as long as possible, patients should also use dental floss and interdental brushes when cleaning their own teeth. A healthy diet and the avoidance of smoking and coffee consumption contribute significantly to your well-kept appearance with beautiful, healthy
