BLEACHING

Tooth discoloration can have different causes and these should be determined by the dentist.

  • External discolouration occurs when darker colour molecules are deposited in the tooth surface (e.g. due to frequent consumption of coffee, tea, red wine or nicotine).
  • Under certain circumstances, discoloration can also occur from the inside (e.g. due to certain medicines, diseases, tooth injuries or root fillings).
Discolouration can be removed in combination with oral hygiene and subsequent bleaching.
