What are Removable Dental Prosthetics?
Removable dental prosthetics – commonly called dentures – replace missing teeth and restore chewing function, aesthetics and speech. Unlike fixed dental restorations (crowns, bridges, implants), dentures can be removed by the patient. Modern dentures are precisely crafted from high-quality materials and fitted to your individual oral anatomy – for a good fit and secure hold.
Which Denture is Right for You?
The choice of dental prosthetics depends on the number of missing teeth, the condition of remaining teeth and your individual needs.
Partial Denture
Partial dentures replace individual or several missing teeth when remaining natural teeth are present. They are secured to the remaining teeth via clasps or telescopic crowns. Acrylic and metal frame partial dentures are common variants.

Full Denture
A full denture (complete denture) replaces all teeth in one jaw. It rests on the jaw ridge and is held in place by suction and saliva adhesion. If desired, the full denture can also be anchored on implants (implant-retained denture).

Telescopic Denture
Telescopic or conical crown dentures are anchored to remaining teeth via double crowns. The outer crown sits in the denture, the inner crown on the tooth – through frictional engagement the denture sits securely and comfortably, without visible clasps.

Assessment & Planning
Thorough examination of remaining teeth, jawbone and gums. Discussion of the appropriate type of denture and treatment plan.
Impressions
Precise impressions of both jaws for individual fabrication. For telescopic dentures: preparation of anchor teeth and insertion of inner crowns.
Laboratory Fabrication
Your dental prosthetics are precisely fabricated in the dental laboratory based on impressions and jaw relationship determination. Try-ins to check fit and aesthetics.
Fitting & Adjustment Period
Insertion and fine-tuning of the finished denture. Thorough instruction on cleaning and care. Follow-up checks and adjustments as required.
Cost of Denture Provision
Costs vary depending on the type of denture, number of teeth and individual treatment effort. Under Austrian dental chamber regulations we are not permitted to publish price information online – we will provide a transparent cost plan after assessment.
Partial Denture
Insurance coverage possible under certain conditions. Price depends on material choice (acrylic/metal frame) and number of missing teeth.

We have a contract with SVS and KFA and bill covered treatments directly; for all other insurers we are a non-contracted dentist (Wahlarzt).
